Today I would like to recommend you the album from movie "Boys on the Side" under the same title. I think - no, I'm sure - you will like this album with amazing music.
"Boys on the Side" an American comedy-drama film from 1995 with three great actresses: Whoopi Goldberg [as Jane], Drew Barrymore [as Holly] and Mary-Louise Parker [as Robin] as three friends on a cross-country road trip.This movie is about friendship, love, secrets, values of the life, death. You have everything what you need to laugh and to cry.
If you like a comedy-drama as "Steel Magnolias" [1989] or "Terms of Endearment" 1983, you will love this one.

I really don't know how and why, butmost movies of years 60's - 90's had an excellent soundtracks. The same is with this soundtrack.
On the official soundtrack album released on 1995 has only thirteen tracks performed by female artists like f.e.: Sheryl Crow, Annie Lennox, Melissa Etheridge, Joan Armatrading and Indigo Girls. It's like a collection of the best songs from 70s, 80 and 90s because of some covers of greatests hits all the time ["Magic Carpet Ride", "You got it", "Take Me To The River", "Superstar", "Mellow Yellow"]. The hit single from the movie soundtrack was Bonnie Raitt's cover of "You Got It" by Roy Orbison.

There's no "Mellow Yellow" by Tito and the Teatro Carmens, "Half And Half" by the Desert Suns, "Magic Carpet Ride" by the Boxing Ghandis, "Piece Of My Heart" by Whoopi Goldberg and "Officer And A Gentleman" by Jack Nitzsche. I chose this album as today's album of the day because of a few real reasons. One of them is that songs chosen to this album as the soundtrack are perfect. They are harmonizing with scenes of the film creating something incredible.
On the album we can find such a great names like Jack Garratt, Imagine Dragons, Jessie Ware, Ed Sheeran, The 1975, X Ambassadors... So as you see that's something big.
In my opinion this soundtrack is epic. You can listen to this album every day and every night and you will never have enough.
You can say: "only nine songs?!". I will say: "that's enough to feel magic of the sound".

Ladies and Gents, hope you are ready for a piece of good music, because these four tracks are really great and I'm sure you will want more and more. Today I would like to recommend you a great EP "Live" by Blue Lining. Make some noise!
Blue Lining is a blues/ rock / indie band from Israel formed by Ori Jacovchak [vocals, harmonica, guitar], Raz Copperman [vocals, piano,guitar], Roy Lazar [guitar, vocals], Ben Berger [bass] and Uri [drums]. What do they have or do that I can't stop listening to their music and I can't wait for more? I really don't know, but it's a good thing. You know, they are always like a huge mystery because you never know with what they will surprise you - will it be an own song or maybe cover, something great or only good? You never know what you can expect and the same was with this EP. One huge positive surprise.
Only four songs, badly, but every single song is so damn good, unique, just like huge woow!. A great mix of f.e. rock, indie and folk rock, and that's why this album is epic. Amongst these four tracks you can find something slower and something faster. Every song is fine-tuned, with great lyrics and even better sounds. This is what I am looking for in the music. In my opinion these four songs are like the essential of Blue Lining - if you don't feel these rhythms, their music is not for you.
They surprised me again, to be honest, and now I can't wait for more music by them. Of course they did an awesome cover of "Feeling Good",by Nina Simone, but it's not enough. That's why I'm waiting for their album because I know it will be something really great.
I think you should just listen to these songs, feel these sounds and decide: yes or no.

Today I would like to recommend you a great album "Energia Emotiva" by Jacopo Massa. I'm sure you will like it because all songs are just a good mix of pop and rock.
I already wrote a few times about Jacopo Massa on this blog [you can read these posts here] so maybe some of you know him. If not - today you have such a chance because I want to recommend you his album from year 2009, "Energia Emotiva".
Why I chose this album? This question always makes me some problems because you can answer to it with million of words and still didn't say everything what you would like to say about it. You can always find a few reasons why? and the same is this time. As always music is the first reason because music always makes the whole thing - view on the artist. His album, "Energia Emotiva", is, as I wrote earlier, a great piece of pop and rock sounds. This album is just full of energy and emotions so it's even better than good with every next song. Amongst these twelve songs you can find faster and slower songs, something to sing and also something to dance. I think it's a good sign. Lyrics, the next reason why I chose this album. As you already know Jacopo is a songwriter and all songs on "Energia Emotiva" were written by him, from the first to the last. That's why you can find a little bit of him in every of these songs. Additionally every song on this album was composed by him from the first to the last second. In my opinion, if the singer is writing his own songs then we can call him a real artist, not only "a singing doll" what is often current nowadays. Huge plus for him. On this album you can find songs in English and in Italian creating the unity, one great project. Maybe reason that this album is bilingual makes it more better. What can I say more? In my opinion he did a great job when he composed these songs and that's why this album is just excellent. Another reason is that Jacopo is a great guy with huge talent... but I wonder why he didn't record anything new yet. Who knows, maybe this year will bring us some huge & great news from him and some new music. Yes, I can't wait for that day. You know, I'm sure he will surprise us with something really cool. And that's why I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Jacopo and his future.

Christmas is all around... It's still a beginning of the month, so we still have some time before typically Christmas music will turn up at our houses. Today I chose the album by the one and only, Enya, because who else as not she will turn the winter into something magic?
And Winter Came... was released on November 2008 but trust me, songs on this album are so amazing that you never have enough. On this album we can find 12 tracks on the normal version,but thirteenth track, Miraculum, we can find as mp3 file on Amazon.com and on iTunes.
There was only one single, Trains and Winter Rains, released on October 10 2008.

In my opinion you can listen to this album at any time, not only during winter or Christmas. Trust me, these songs sound perfect even in the summer. I know, it's bit weird but that's that's the truth. You know, this is Enya, and as we all know her music is just epic and full of magic, and this is what all people need to be happy.

Today is a very special day - premiere of their new EP, Horizons, and that's why I want to say a few words about their new music. Are you ready to rock?
As you remember, or not, last time, when I wrote about Rebirth EP [you can read it here], I told you that you can be sure because I know that soon they will give us more great sounds and that they will surprise us and they did it. To be honest - they did it very well.
What we have on Horizons? There's only one answer to this question: only the best of the best. Horizons is a four track EP full of good piece of rock, with great sounds, super lyrics and power. Album is a mix of pop punk, rock, post-hardcore and of course punk rock, and also nice and wild rhythms, so as you see everyone will find something good in this songs. One more time guys from We Were Lions made a perfect album, because what else can I say when every song is so damn good that when you listen to any of these songs you just don't want to stop? Be careful - every track on Horizons is addictive, and be ready to become a fan of their music from the first song.
Ok, I was a bit sad when the time at listening to their album passed so quickly, but as we all know, everything what's the best is passing too quickly, and I think that this is the one and the only defect of this album, but from the other side it's a good sign. They didn't disappoint me with these four new songs and that's good, really good.
Yes, Horizons is an excellent album.

Today I would like to recommend you the music of this young and talented musician. Ladies and Gents, make some noise for remarkable Josh Taerk.
Josh Taerk is a singer and songwriter from Toronto [Canada]. His music is a great piece of rock and Americana (roots music). Amongst his inspiration we can find, f.e.: Adam Duritz, Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows and Jackson Browne.
Why I chose Josh as today's artist of the day? Maybe because it's something in his songs that you want to listen to it all the time. Maybe it's because of only music or lyrics or his voice. Maybe because he's so damn good in everything what he's doing or singing, no matter is it his own song or just a cover. Yes, everything what he's doing it's always like a mix of everything the best. When you are listening to him there's something what makes you happy in some way. And that's really amazing.
To be honest, I fell in love with his debut album, "Josh" [October 2013] because it's really excellent. You can find there 13 tracks - some of them are easy&nice sounds but also a few of them are songs with more power, so all of you will find something good on this album. This album is not only full of wonderful songs and a sample of Josh's talent. It's full of energy, passion, emotions, amazing words, incredible sounds. It's just perfect. Maybe the reason of this perfection is fact that all of these songs have something about his own experiences...? If he will do this every time when he will write something new, I'm sure that his career will be successful.

But not only the album is the reasong why I like him. As I already wrote, every song sung by him sounds like... heaven. Ok, maybe "heaven" isn't too good word, but yes, these songs are just perfect. I think that when you will listen to the music you will exactly know how to describe him and his work.

To be honest, last week I listened to a few albums/songs oflittle-known artists and bands but this album was like a "boom!". From the first seconds I know that this is it. As for me they are just like a "fresh blood", five guys who can do more great music as these songs on Rebirth. And that's why I'm glad that I can recommend you it. On Rebirth we can find "only" four really awesome tracks, but they will make your day really cool. Three words: excellent music, super lyrics and THAT power. As you see Rebirth has everything what's the best. Every track is just addictive and when you listen to it you just don't want to stop, but then, after the last song you're disappointed that it is the end and you want more and more. And that's what I call something really, really good.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them because they're really good and very talented. I'm sure that that next songs will be the same awesome (or better) as these on Rebirth. If you like their music - show it and give them some positive emotions and share their music with the world.

A Winter Symphony is a Christmas album by English soprano singer Sarah Brightman from 2008. This album has four editions: normal edition with 12 songs, deluxe edition with 15 songs, Japanese deluxe edition with 17 songs and finally Borders Books and Music Digital Edition with 13 songs.
This time I would like to share with you another great Christmas album Wintersong by Sarah McLachlan.
Wintersong is an album from 2006, an album of Christmas songs by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan. On the album we can find 12 great songs about winter and of course about Christmas. Nice surprise is the last track on the album - an amazing duet with Diana Krall. The good this is the fact that we don't have here only typically Christmas songs, but songs which we can listen in the winter.
To be honest, this album is one of my favourites Christmas/winter albums, because of songs, music and of course, because of Sarah's voice, who I just love. Anyway, I just love to listen to this album during the whole winter...and not only.

This Is Christmas is a Chtistmas album from 2012 by a Welsh classical crossover artist Katherine Jenkins. Katherine, like on every album and also this time, is charming us with her wonderful voice and music and causes that we feel the magic of Christmas and also the magic of winter.
We can find three ediotions of this album - USA edition with 10 tracks, UK ediotion with 14 tracks, and also deluxe version with two bonus tracks (12 tracks).
On the album we can find an amazing duets with Plácido Domingo and with Nathan Pacheco.
