Song of the day : "Payback" by Adelphia

Today, I would like to recommend you a great song Payback by Adelphia. I think that you'll like it the same (or even more) as I.

As you remember (or maybe not), Adelphia are an alternative rock band from Nottingham [UK] formed by Nicholas Crampton [vocals, rhythm guitar], Rik Gilbert [drums, backing], Jordan Wood [lead guitar] and finally Jay Sanderson [bass]. They have two music videos Do Your Worst and Lost At Sea.

Anyway, more info about band you can find on their FB page, twitter, YouTube, tumblr.

You can read my previous post about them and their song Lost At Sea here.

You can find their first EP Fingers Burnt and Lessons Learnt [2013] on their page, iTunes, Spotify - so enjoy.

Payback is an acoustic rock from their debut  EP Fingers Burnt and Lessons Learnt and it's the third music video.

This song has an amazing lyrics and really great sounds, and video is simple and unique, what makes everything better and better. In my opinion everything, song and video, is just "woow", and is giving us, listeners, something more than only music. Emotions? Maybe yes. Pure music? For sure - yes! And maybe that's why we just want more and more. Why? I don't know, but I'm sure one thing -  when you're watching and/or listening to Payback, you've only one thought in your mind 'damn, this is it! this is awesome!'.

In my opinion, guys from Adelphia have something what is pulling you to them. Something what when you're listen to this song (but also other songs by them), you have something like 'wooow!' at first, then 'oh, no, is it already the end?' and you just have to play it again and again. And that's really amazing (and good for them, think so).

I know, I wrote it last time, but I just have to say it again - they're really talented and I'm sure they'll be huge musician soon, so better remember name of this band -  Adelphia :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the band, their future and successes.

Album of the day : "Rebirth" by We Were Lions.

Today I would like to recommend you such a great album Rebirth by We Were Lions. Why? Because this album is very good, full of great and powerful music and that's the reason why you should listen to this album and just meet these guys now, before they will be famous.

We Were Lions are a rock band from Essex [UK] formed by Lloyd Coombes [lead vocals], Rob Cole [lead / rhythm guitar], Phil Lamont [bass / vocals], James Martin [lead / rhythm guitar] and finally Dan Vinnicombe [drums].
More info about We Were Lions you can find on their official page, FB page, twitter, YouTube, soundcloud.

Album Rebirth [EP], released on May 2012, you can find and download for free here and also here.

To be honest, last week I listened to a few albums/songs oflittle-known artists and bands but this album was like a "boom!". From the first seconds I know that this is it. As for me they are just like a "fresh blood", five guys who can do more great music as these songs on Rebirth. And that's why I'm glad that I can recommend you it.
On Rebirth we can find "only" four really awesome tracks, but they will make your day really cool. Three words: excellent music, super lyrics and THAT power. As you see Rebirth has everything what's the best.
Every track is just addictive and when you listen to it you just don't want to stop, but then, after the last song you're disappointed that it is the end and you want more and more. And that's what I call something really, really good.

End Of The Night

Sometimes, Even Heroes Need Saving

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them because they're really good and  very talented. I'm sure that that next songs will be the same awesome (or better) as these on Rebirth.
If you like their music - show it and give them some positive emotions and share their music with the world.

The Day the Music Died.

The Day the Music Died. The Day when everything changed. The Day when world lost something precious.

February 3, 1959

Three the best rock and roll musicians: Buddy Holly [22], Ritchie Valens [17], and Jiles Perry "J.P." The Big Bopper Richardson [28] died in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa. Also 21-year-old pilot, Roger Peterson, died too.

Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were visionaries, masters of music, who created legendary songs, songs which will never die. They were unique, one and only. That's why the loss was and still is, so terrible, sad, tragic.
It's so sad that they created so little great music. They were, they are and they will beinspiration for other people, and their songs will live eternally. The same will be with them, Buddy, Ritchie and Jiles Perry, who will live forever, who will be Legends Forever, because as we all know a true Legends never die.

As for me, person who grew up on their music and who still loves every sound made by them, they will be always the best, the beginning of real and remarkable music. Legends who created music, history and feelings which became immortal, just like them on February 3, 1959.
Thank you Buddy, Ritchie and Jiles Perry for music which can save and change everything.
Words "The Day the Music Died", which are the name of this sad day, are from song American Pie by Don McLean.

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
And, I knew if I had my chance that I could make those people dance, and...
Maybe they'd be happy for a while
But, February made me shiver with every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep - I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried when I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside the day the music died

So, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the Book of Love and do you have faith in God, above?
If the Bible tells you so
Now, do you believe in Rock and Roll? Can music save your mortal soul? And...
Can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him, 'cause I saw you dancing in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes - man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely, teenage broncin' buck with a pink carnation and a pickup truck, but...
I knew I was out of luck the day the music died

I started singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Now, for ten years we've been on our own and moss grows fat on a Rolling Stone, but...
That's not how it used to be
When the Jester sang for the king and queen in a coat he borrowed from James Dean
In a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while the King was looking down the Jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned - no verdict was returned
And, while Lenin read a book on Marx the quartet practiced in the park, and...
We sang dirges in the dark the day the music died

We were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Healter Skealter in the summer swelter - the Birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight Miles High and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass with the Jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now, the halftime air was sweet perfume while the Sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance, oh, but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field - the marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed the day the music died?

We started singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

And, there we were, all in one place - a generation Lost in Space
With no time left to start again
So, come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick - Jack Flash sat on a Candlestick, 'cause...
Fire is the Devil's only friend
And, as I watched him on the stage my hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell could break that satan's spell
And, as the flames climbed high into the night to light the sacrificial rite, I saw...
Satan laughing with delight the day the music died

He was singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

I met a girl who sang the Blues, and I asked her for some happy news
She just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store where I'd heard the music years before, but...
The man there said the music wouldn't play
And, in the streets the children screamed, the lover's cried, and the poets dreamed, but...
Not a word was spoken - the church bells all were broken
And, the three men I admire most: the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, they...
Caught the last train for the coast the day the music died

And, they were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

They were singing, bye bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
