And here we have exactly everything what you need to enjoy the moment - good voice, great sounds, amazing lyrics. And pure soul of the music. Yes. Every song has something what gives you some kind of magic, pure joy and calm. Pure perfection? Probably yes.
Before I started writing this post, I listened to his songs two days. And you know what? I always wanted more and more, no matter if it was a morning, noon, early evening or late night. Maybe because of easy and simple sounds and his voice these songs are epic. They are something what will stay in our minds for longer than two or three minutes. Because what's more better or more beautiful than pure joy of the music you are listening? Nothing. Really nothing.
When you are listening to Brian Matthew Hadsell, there's something what gives you a piece of good, real music full of emotions, words and amazing sounds, and that's really great. Why? Because it's really great when you are able to feel the music, every second of the song, every word. When you can close your eyes and swim through the music.
I wrote it so many times but I will write it one more time - this kind of music, easy and simple, is one of the best, because you can get to know the artist and his talent. And he has it. He has a huge talent.
If you like or love such a kind of music, an acoustic music, his work is for you. I'm pretty sure you will fell in love not only with his amazing voice, but also with every song, because his music is giving a wonderful climate. You will find your own world in his music.

Ben Holland is a talented musician. That's a fact. His songs are always something amazing with great sounds and wonderful lyrics. That's a fact. But today I would like to say a few words about his newest song -  Dead Leaves.

If you like folk or an acoustic music with amazing lyrics and amazing voice of the singer, I think, you have found the right song. Ladies and Gents, let me introduce you Dead Leaves by Ben Holland.

In my opinion Dead Leaves is a perfect song for only for the autumn, but for every day when you want to listen to something real, something good, something breathtaking. Yes, this song is breathtaking from the first to the last second not only because of wonderful lyrics and ideal music, but also because of his voice and that special mood between the lines and sounds. This song is unique.

They talked for hours till the moon rose
Then in the twilight they both began to cry
Then all went quiet in the station
And the dead leaves danced across the sky

lines from Dead Leaves

If you will read the whole lyrics you will see a beautiful story. You can cry, you can admire, you can to be sad, you can feel bad or good. You can imagine every word, every fragment. Yes, listening to this song you can feel a lot of emotions and you can see every line, every verse as the fragment of the story or as one small story. That's amazing.

See the man standing on the platform
On his way back home from a war
He sees her there through the smoke of his breath
Sees her standing alone in the door

She was just a girl maybe seventeen
Shivering in the winter cold
With hair like the leaves that blew around her feet
Auburn dipped in gold

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now

He cupped his hand around her cigarette
She smiled and bowed her head
'Are you waiting for a train or for someone?'
She sighed 'My someone's dead'

They talked for hours till his train came
They kiss and then they part
He dreamed as the tracks took him homeward
And listened to the beat of his heart

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now

His wife came and met him at the station
Five long years he'd been away
She told him how their children both had grown
Neither had very much to say

They walked alone by the river
She was scared to hold his hand
He'd already seen what she tried to hide
She'd sold her golden wedding band

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now

He told her that she was looking older
She told him 'Well that's what time will do'
'Every day's been a battle since you've been away'
He said 'I've had my battles too'

His children they met him in the hallway
A soldier and a stranger in their home
She said 'I thought our Daddy was a baker'
The only man they'd ever known

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now

'My dear, five years is a long time
I did some things I didn't want to do
But please don't hate me for surviving
Our children needed clothing and food'

He flew into a rage and left them shaking
He ran back and boarded the train
With that young girl he'd left at the station
And hot blood pounding in his brain

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now

The train took him back to that station
He stood where he'd stood years before
And through the smoke of his cigarette
Again, he saw her standing in the door

Now just a little older than seventeen
Still shivering in the winter cold
With hair like the leaves that blew around her feet
Silver where once was gold

They talked for hours till the moon rose
Then in the twilight they both began to cry
Then all went quiet in the station
And the dead leaves danced across the sky

Sister Mary threw those petals high up in the air
As we read our wedding vow
I will love you for a lifetime at least
Forever just as now.

In my opinion this song is a piece of real and good, so good music. It's important to feel the music, you know - magic inside the words and sounds. And guess what - Dead Leaves has everything what makes the song perfect. It's something between Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne, such a great mix of them. To be honest, Dead Leaves makes something that you want to listen to this song non-stop and you always want more and more. When you are listening to Dead Leaves, you have only one thought in your mind: damn, this is it! this is it!

I have to tell you, I have been listening to this song so many times and I still don't enough. I think I am addicted to this song. And I am proud of it.
